I wanted to purchase Amazon Pay GV on Gyftr (just gyftr, not Yono/SBI/HDFC etc. gyftr) using Amex cards. I had previously been able to use Amex on Gyftr quite sporadically, nothing that would trigger a punitive action like a ban or something. However, when I tried to purchase Amex GV or any other GV using Amex, it just says "Card type not allowed" on the payment page. I tried several Amex cards, but didn't budge. Have they stopped accepting Amex then?

Reading your description with fancy words like 'sporadically', 'punitive', 'budge'...I really wonder whether it's that hard to describe a simple problem of AmEx Cards not being accepted by Gyftr portal.
Anyway, yes, it's not being accepted now. Even Rewards Multiplier portal of AmEx Gyftr has only Amazon Shopping Voucher, not Amazon Pay GV.

Ah shame. I bought a GV using Amex only late last month. However, it's not just Amazon GV, in case Gyftr was worried about misuse of that specific brand. Can't purchase any GV using Amex.
