Happy to announce my Recovery from COVID19(Important Details Inside for those suffering from COVID)

Hello Dimers.
Very very happy to announce that now i have recovered completely from COVID19 virus.
Although My quarantine period is not over yet.
I left DD on 5th may but i was having fever from 3rd may. Today I am returning to DD after 10days.
Was on Home isolation & treatment and thats why i used to open the app many a times but was not in a condition to type or post anything.
It was one of the toughest phases of my life where everyday was passing like i am on a Time-Bomb..

First of all, thanks to everyone out there who prayed for me & wished for my speedy recovery.

Sharing my journey of last 12days to u people. If it helps even a single dimer, then it will make my life successful.

So, it started with my Dad becoming positive on 27th April.
My dad is someone who never went outside building premises since 1.5years. He only used to walk on terrace in the evening time. So, when fever came to him, we thought that its viral fever as he never gets out of home. And from there started the ugly game of Covid.
On 30th April, My mom got fever as well. We found that as an alarm and immediately we called for Covid test. Covid test now-a-days is taking 4-5 days of time. In the meantime, on 3rd may i also got fever.
Till now, my doctor prescribed some medicines to mom and dad :
1) Azythromycin (1 tab daily for 5days)
2) Doxt SL ( 2 tabs daily after breakfast & dinner for 10days)
3) Alegra-M ( 1tab daily for 10days after dinner)
4) Vitamin C, D & zinc tabs
5) Pyrigesic 1000 for Fever. (Twice or thrice a day depending on ur fever)

On 5th May morning, i got my father’s covid report & it was positive so i understood that me & mom are also positive. Still we did covid test for ourselves as well. But as there are delays, me also started with the same medications immediately.

After seeing my father’s report, Doctor also added Ivermectin (1tab daily after dinner) to our Prescriptions as well.

But the most surprising thing were the symptoms in all 3 of us:

Dad’s symptoms – Lots of cold & cough, Fever varying from 100 to 103, lots of leg pain but No loss of taste & smell till recovery.
Oxy level was staying around 95% . Never went below that.

Mom’s symptoms – Moderate level of cold & cough, no bodyache, fever varying from 100 to 101 & a loss of smell for 1 day. Oxy level was 96-97 & never went below that.

My symptoms – No cold & cough at all with minimum amount of throat pain, fever ranges from 100 to 102 , lot of bodyache & also lost smell for 2days.
Oxy level in my case was 97-98 throughout.

Just for everyone’s info, mom & dad were already vaccinated for the first dose of Covishield.

Fever lasted only four days in case of my dad.
Fever lasted for 8 days in case of mom.
Fever was not leaving me even after 9days. Infact on the 9th day my fever was most active.
A CT scan & few blood tests on mine were done on 8th day of my fever. I have got a score of 7/25 on CT scan which showed a mild level of infection in lungs.
But as the fever was not cooling down and coming back again and again in 4-5 hours of paracetamol only, the doctor prescribed me Steroids – Predmet 16mg (1tab daily for 5days).

My fever stopped after 2 days of steroids. And today i have taken the 5th dose of it also.

Few important observations :
1) Fever generally starts with leg pain.
2) Fever increases silently i.e. u dont realise that its around 102/103 but when u check thermometer , u get shocked to see it.
3) Generally fever dont come with shivering. Infact i used to sweat a lot in 102 degree fever.
4) Chest infection creates a lot of gastric problems in ur chest area. So always take gastro medicines two times a day. (pan40, pantocid 40 , etc etc)
5) In my case, cold and cough was not significant because as soon as mom and dad got symptoms, i started gargle & steam that very first day for my safety.
6) Gargle is very important . I used to do two types -
a) one with salt & turmeric
b) one with Betadin 2% gargle (very very effective)
7) If u will do gargle with betadin in initial days of ur symptoms, then i bet virus will not do much damage to ur lungs as max part of the virus will be killed in ur throat area by betadine gargle.
8) Do deep breathing exercises everyday for atleast 5 minutes.
This will keep ur lungs away from serious infections . Also ur oxygen level will be good.
