Hi,
I’ve been researching furnuture online and came across some good deals on this website https://www.modwayfurn...in.
Modway seems to be an international brand hosted here https://www.mod...m/ and the logos used on indian website are same.
Something looks fishy to me about this
The prices are pretty cheap
The only payment options available are UPI QR and instamojo (which futher increases doubt)
The website strongly asks users to transact through UPI, else charges additional 23%.
For now, I have not made any payment.
Can anyone give reviews/suggest what to do here? Any way to verify if the website is genuine or not.

The deals are too good to be true and the website has several bugs, like I am not able to add any product to cart. Seems like a scam website. Further analysis may be done by some techie dimers to further confirm.

Confirmed…. This website is 100% fraud. Don’t place any order. Modway doesn’t host any india-specific website. It’s a scam.

my dad lost 20k here, its a fraud- they took money and are not replying, but gave a receipt and everything. quite an elaborate scam
anybody have any idea what we can do to recover the cash?

Thanks for the info brothers… Today I hav seen website and tried to book sofa and dining table but it is asking to pay money before only I got a doubt that it is fake and tried to book one bean bag for that also it asked to shop more than 3k so I decided that this is a fake website and started searching about forums of this website.

Don’t ever pay with UPI on an unknown site. Always use credit card so that you can chargeback if things go wrong

I checked with modway US helpline numbe they dont have any alliance in India. Modwayfirniture. In just surfaced in March 2021, have provided mail confirmations as well. Just hoping this to not to be fake.
They have removed contact details now and just a whattsapp number is only means of communication now
