Thanks for sharing this info, on my current order page it shows “verify open box delivery” at the bottom, Yes. I will make use of this tomorrow, just to make sure I am not getting delivered stones in the box.
They will ask you if you want product to be opened , They will upon your request and ask you to check in their presence. They will get your signature after you are satisfied. They will tick no open delivery and take your sign incase you deny to open. Nothing special.
Thanks, I only want to check if the item is actually in there, because my delivery got postponed at the last mile, them giving some lame excuses, and the item is now at the last mile held overnight (plenty of time to do mischief, if someone wants to), this raised some suspicion in me. I am not a regular shopper at Flipkart, so I still need time to get used to shopping with them.
Ordered an oven from Flipkart few days back. Don’t remember opting for open box delivery however realised that it was open box delivery through sms.
Delivery boy started opening box even without asking. They were 2 person and 1 was making video so I didn’t interrupted. They completed open box delivery and then asked me to sign on their phone.
An update on this thread, Received the delivery in good order. Requested a Open Box facility, they were happy to do that.
My confidence in Flipkart’s service is increasing

Yes I did few months back, it was usual for me, delivery guy opened the product before me and we need to make sure everything fine or not. Most probably the option would come for large electronic products and delivery agents would have experience in properly delivering to the end customer. If you are not okay with this option, you can opt out I think. But as my per experience, I didn’t notice anything unusual.
