My Dell Inspiron 5570 Laptop suddenly became blue(black) screen then immediately restarted 2 to 3 times and thereafter thrown No Hard disk error within no time.
Please suggest me any remedies to resolve this issue if possible otherwise suggest a low suitable HDD or SSD within a reasonable budget.

1st check if hdd is actually dead using Linux live usb or windows 10 usb installer.

If hdd is actually dead, then buy 240gb Kingston ssd. I brought on 1st may on Flipkart at 2499 (-10% off hdfc).

Thanks for guiding me. To install windows 10 in USB, we need any license key? I don’t have any license key as the laptop came with pre-installed windows in it. Please guide me what to do.

Your laptop has M.2 NVMe slot (512 GB)
Replace the OS drive with Samsung 980 NVMe SSD (~5k on Amazon.in – Effective*)

For verifying the drive, check what others suggested
LiveUSB or Connect this 2.5" HDD to another laptop/pc (via MB sata port / SATA to USB cable / HDD enclosure)

Download & run crystaldiskinfo free:
https://crystalmark.info/en/dow...d/

Anytime you have doubt about hdd(for ssd it is not much useful) internal or portable external then run this & post the values table screenshot in thread.

Update to my HDD issue: Yesterday, I could boot it but within hardly half an hour it once again crashed and displayed the same error no hard disk found. And I noticed lot of heat at the bottom of laptop but I am novice to figure out it’s cause.

Bro I mentioned a software in my earlier post & give a suggestion which is by far the most informative/objective suggestion given in this thread & you didn’t even acknowledge it. Don’t take it otherwise but when posting queries on tech issues related to pc components you need to show some sincerity to actually useful suggestions related to trouble shooting instead of focusing on buying new hardware/deals which is also alright but then make your thread title something like “want to buy new hardware” or clearly mention that you are interested in buying new hardware instead of spending time on troubleshooting old hardware(I understand many people don’t have free time/patience for this).

Also make sure before buying m.2 ssd(the one which looks like a ram stick) that whether your laptop has an empty m.2 slot & whether it supports m.2 sata or m.2 NVMe(both are different ssd types even if they look same). Safest choice as suggested above is replacing hdd with regular sata ssd(the one which looks like a thin laptop hdd). Prefer samsung 860/870 evo or crucial MX500 series.
