Yes it is valid on laptops as well
You will get the normal 10% discount as well and this 5% extra
You can see it on smartbuy portal

Also, note that cashback has a max capping. The 5% cashback is not unlimited… For most debit/credit cards max cashback is 1000. For a few credit cards its 2000. Check the smartbuy portal for complete details.
