I received the following message on SMS from HDFC Bank and I didn't even link my Tata Neu Infinity RuPay HDFC Bank CC on any of the UPI apps :
HDFC Bank: Dear Customer, we got a request for linking your account for UPI 652. Do not share your Credit card details/One time password or OTP/Expiry date number to avoid any financial loss. If it is not initiated by you, please report immediately to your bank helpline no.18002586161 to avoid any financial loss.
Did anyone else receive this message as well?
I received it at exactly 1:07 AM IST on 1st October, 2023.
For now I've deactivated all types of transactions on the CC but feels like a glitch. Can others confirm please as I've heard Kotak Mahindra Bank also sent similar SMS to their customers holding RuPay CC.

Turning off transactions doesn't matter. UPI over rupay cc go directly from your credit account, so card limits don't matter.
That's like turning off debit card transactions thinking that it'll stop UPI from bank account.

Yep. I only use my primary card online, so have turned off all on rupay. Works smoothly on UPI still.
