HDFC Card rent offer query

Offer details:

It is mentioned NoBroker. If we pay via payzapp, will it be eligible for both offers from payzapp-nobroer and hdfc-nobroker?

Usually, I use nobroker+payzapp with amazon pay card for my rent payment. The transaction details in card statement read as NOBROKER RENTPAYMENTS BENGALURU IN

Anyone any experience with earlier offer from HDFC? I haven’t used my HDFC card until now due to not meeting the minimum rent amount.

Thanks in advance!

Rental agreement is with nobroker. Now the min amount in case of HDFC is 15k, earlier my rental amount is below the min threshold, so couldn’t use HDFC.

Now wanted to mix payzapp+hdfc with nobroker if both the offfers work.

On the smartbuy its mentioned that we need to use cobranded cards and then we get intermiles something. Not really sure how it works

That’s just an illustration of additional rewards. All card types are valid for this offer except corporate and commercial variants

Before even asking for it, I gave them the rental agreement. Mine is a genuine rental payment, no rotational stuff

I dug up little more on my earlier payments.

Everytime I paid my rent on nobroker through payzapp, the transaction detail is NOBROKER RENTPAYMENTS BENGALURU IN, and there is another payzapp wallet load transaction. I called up customer care and checked for merchant category codes (MCC) of both the transactions

Nobroker payment via payzapp saved card → MCC 6513 (mcc description: Real Estate Agents and Managers–Rentals)
Payzapp wallet load → MCC 6540 (mcc description: POI (Point of Interaction) Funding Transactions
(Excluding MoneySend))

Going with that, I suppose the transaction will be captured under rentals category.

The terms of the offer says

Classification of a retail transaction (Point of sale/Online) under a merchant category (Rent) will be defined by Visa/MasterCard or any other franchisee as applicable and the same will be used to arrive at Qualifiers.

I believe going with payzapp saved HDFC card on nobroker should be qualified for both the rewards?

Is that doubt on positive or negative note?

Negative.  As i feel hddc card should be directly use on these sites.

This thread is a query, and unfortunately no one is clear if this works be it genuine rent payment or rotation.

Update:

Further to my earlier comment related to MCC etc https://www.desidime.com/discussions/hdfc-card-...

I paid my rental payment via payzapp using linked HDFC card. The transaction at HDFC is recorded as NOBROKER RENTPAYMENTS, and today marking 90th day after the end of first payment month, I received 500/- voucher from HDFC. Everymonth, payzapp nobroker rent cashback is something I’m getting as usual.

So over all, I got both payzapp and HDFC rental benefits.

Did you proceed from Nobroker webiste/app or within Payzapp itself through rent pay option in the Payzap app.

Norbroker → payzapp gateway → use saved card → complete payment
Here payzapp is just a payment processsor.
