Basically i have my AutoPay turned on for my credit card and it deducts the amount from my hdfc account automatically on the due date.

Now i have this question that my due is now 5th of April.

I have paid my whole bill on 1st of April via Paytm..

Will it again deduct? the same amount or not? as AutoPay?

Yes  autopay deduction happens as per the schedule

Depends on bank's system. If it is designed to check the settled txns amount on card before auto pay date then it won't trigger the auto payment if it finds the last due amt status as paid in the system.

No it wont. It checks on the due or day before due date and pays only the amount left. In your case would be 0 so no payment.

If you're prone to forgetting payments, it may be useful to activate autopay. However, if you're not forgetful, it's important to note that autopay may not detect early payments. This happened to me when I paid via CRED and was charged 590/- due to insufficient funds, even though the payment had been received by HDFC bank 5-6 days before the actual autopay date. In this situation, I contacted CRED and their customer service was helpful. They refunded me the entire amount, even though HDFC Bank had deducted it. Therefore, it's important to be cautious when using autopay and only activate it if necessary.
