I was misold a credit card so I have stopped the process but unfortunately cibil enquiry has been made when I reported to remove the cibil enquiry, HDFC grievance readdresal team is asking for my CIBIL report. Its strange why they need to my cibil report to remove the enquiry made by me.

Yes, because they CIBIL control number to get soft enquiry.
My closed ICICI CC was showing active in CIBIL, so i requested them to remove. They asked me CIBIL report, I sent them. They closed after a week.
So you have to provide CIBIL report, better to generate new and send them.

What about opposite, my other sbi card issued more than 2 months back is still not showing in cibil report(latest updated on 20th of this month).

nothing can be done once enquiry is already made and dont worry too much about CIBIL Score unless going to take bank loan
