Hdfc Diner's Club is Rewarding

This is the best credit card on earth.

Can this card be used every where? Usually Amex and Diners are NOT accepted by all shops.

in big cities not an issue, in very small cities bit problem but it works many times, just that shop owners simply say no, we should ask them to swipe and see.

Do you know if the fd based offer is for everyone? Also is the credit card against a lien on the FD. That is to say if you close the fd, credit card must be closed first?

Accepted at most places where rupay card is accepted.

1. Fastest way for cc bill payment is direct transfer from hdfc account.
2. 1X points for for all txn including Amazon pay are credited in 4-5 days but u cannot use them until next statement cycle
3.For Diners black reward is Rs 5/150 is for all txn done so yes 3.3% reward is for all txn.
4. There is no limit for regular reward points earning that is 3.3%, also you can redeem as many points in a year.

I am holding a Diners Black since 4 years but frankly it’s good days are gone, there are no more 10x reward points, smart buy 10x points has a limit of Rs7500 per month only. Also you can redeem point for 70% booking only rest 30% has to be paid by card.
Annual fees of 10k is stupid on top of it.

can anyone confirm is there any fees for first 12 months ? i have talked to an agent he is saying no joining fees but have annual fees which will be taken after 3 months and if i spend 5l in first 1 year it will be reversed.

is this correct information ?

You need to spend 5lac every year to waive off the annual fee of 10k so this 5l spend in 1month should not be correct better see it in writing.

1. Fastest way for credit card bill payment (reflect in account instantly) – direct hdfc netbanking payment. Cred also works well, message comes from hdfc within few minutes, but settlement takes ~2days (actual date is still date of payment)
2.If we buy amazon gift card from Amazon.in then how much time it takes for 1× points credit – All 1x points take 2-3 days, all transactions settle in 2-3 days and points are given with the transaction reflecting in unbilled amount in netbanking.
3.Can we get 3.3% for Government, Rent,Add money in payzapp, insurance etc. – not sure what Government you are paying, but all transactions except fuel and wallet load earn points. Rent payment and payzapp load (only exception for wallets), insurance etc also earns points.
4. There is any limit on reward points earning and redeeming (monthly or yearly) – No limit onnearning 1x points or redeeming. But there are some conditions for 2x,5x,10x points and also if you redeem for flights on smartbuy (ie, 70% of the ticket value). This was recently introduced. The terms keep changing every few months nowadays.

Even with all the new restrictions and limits on the rewards, if you can spend 5L in a year, @ 1x points itself can be valued at more than 16K for flights or 8k for statement credit. Increase that amount with all the extra points they give via smartbuy and time to time offers. Still a very good card to have.

I asked my relationship advisor from HDFC about the FD based route for getting Diners Club Black and she said it was not available nowadays. Good for you. One of the best credit cards rewards-wise.
