HDFC HNI Banking Doubts

For accounts like Specialé Gold (₹1 lakh MAB) and Specialé Platinum (₹3 lakh MAB), will being in Imperia/Preferred/Classic Family mean you don't have to maintain the minimum balance required? It was odd since Classic only needs ₹1 lakh MAB and would waive balance requirements for the entire family

Also, will SCSS deposits qualify for the HNI TRV (SB+FD) limits?

Hdfc Imperia is not  HNI banking. It's a program run by clowns.

Also, will SCSS deposits qualify for the HNI TRV (SB+FD) limits? - No. Hdfc also doesn't provide SCSS in the first place.

Last when I opened Specialé Gold. my RM asked me to maintain 1L for 3 months. Not sure if account is Zero Balance or not from day 1.

but again all those programs are not really Zero Balance. Its just that bank wont have any account charges if you are part of program. if balance is not maintained then you can be downgraded to lower program

I don't get how what your RM asked would change anything for you. Is that to trigger a Classic invite? Can't you just choose to join the program while opening the account?

You don't need to maintain an account balance, FDs can be used. Your family group wouldn't need even that.

I too assumed that atleast these big banks were required to offer the same but I was wrong.

If you still want to have this "tag" of wealth management, Icici is by far your best bet.

I will tell you my irony with ICICI bank.

My daughter is having wealth management account for some reason with ICICI (Minor account + SSY account).

Where as I am still stuck with privilege account after being a customer for 18 years..😂

It isn't about a "tag" of wealth management. I have use for some of the benefits offered.

Anyways, ICICI is pretty terrible and extremely commission-driven.

You know how these banks work........ You may have to "prove" that you are her one and only bio-"logical" father

All banks are commission driven. (except PSU)

You'd be better off researching on your own and/or asking  this forum.

I mentioned icici because they are offering pretty much all of these government backed programs unlike (surprisingly) hdfc. Or SBI.

1) How much is initial funding for wealth management for ICICI in metro City like Bangalore?

2) is it a zero balance account?

About 1 year back,I enquired in my Bangalore branch and they told it's 10L initial funding, zero balance account.
3) any zero balance account (non salary, non Jan dhan) in HDFC in metro city ?

No idea. Differs from branch to branch, city to city. It is zero balance till upto 6 months once Nrv shortfall is there.
