HDFC Regalia - Huge Devaluation in Reward Points

I am surprised to see the huge de-valuation in HDFC Reward Points.

Previously for VOUCHERS the conversion ratio used to be

1 Point = 35 Paisa

but now it’s

1 Point = 15 Paisa

That so disappointing ..

So technically now REGALIA card Reward Points Yield stands at 0.40% .. previously it used to be 0.93%

Glad i have a LTF card.

Same, I have an LTF card. Got it funnily enough after closing my HDFC account.

Once the Mastercard ban is lifted I’ll make 3 Add On cards out of it so family can use the hell out of it for domestic and international lounge access.

@avijeet R you sure that you are looking at the right place with the right regalia card?

Either you are seeing in point redemption via NetBanking or using a regalia first card.

If your spends are genuine (not rotation and all), then a small suggestion from my side would be to get a better rewarding credit card. Regalia has a pretty low rewarding structure standing at around 0.93% if redeemed for GVs and around 1.33% if redeemed for flights/hotels. Even the most basic entry level cards are having 1-2% nowadays; and considering 6Lish spends in a year, you can definitely get a decent card with a milestone benefits too.

Yeah, very small part of it must be rotation just to achieve spend based targets, may be 15%, rest all are genuine spends.
Been trying to get Infinia, even pushed through RM, yet to get that offered.

While I agree to it.. there are multiple offers available at any time on hdfc cards.. there’s 2x rp on tap n pay, 3x rp on payzapp payments, 7x rp on weekend spends… Apart from this there’s always smartbuy 5% cashback.. upon that hdfc cards have a ton of offers.. also, this is one of the few cards which have international lounge access as well…while I agree that one shall use other cards for spends, one can always hold to this card if it’s ltf since the benefits are good..

Smartbuy Redemption portal is not available for moneyback and millennia cards. You need to directly redeem from net banking for statement credit

Another BOMB by HDFC Back …..

Now they have denied giving me Milestone Rewards of 10000 points for crossing 5 Laks cumulative bonus…..
saying your card is not eligible for this reward.

Earn 10,000 Bonus Reward Points on annual spending of Rs. 5,00,000 is still mentioned on the site.

There you go.

But in that case, is it mentioned anywhere that LTF cards are not eligible for Milestone benefits?

My other family member has LTF Business Regalia First and is enjoying milestone benefits.

Please post the reply you get from the grievance email ID. Perhaps by “not eligible”, they mean you haven’t quite hit the milestone number yet?

Cycle was 23rd Dec 2021.

So i called in Oct and checked with them.. they clearly said that i need to spend X amount to reach Milestone.

Now they are saying that my card is not eligible.

Are you 100% sure you hit the spend amount?
