HDFC Secured Credit Card

Does anyone have experience with a secured card from HDFC? Does it show up as secured or normal on credit bureau reports? Is there any mechanism where they can convert it to a regular card after a year or two or do you have to close it and reapply? I am asking because I have seen that some banks like Yes Bank and ICICI report secured cards as specifically marked ‘secured’ on CIBIL and don’t indicate a credit limit while others like Indusind and RBL just report it like any other card and report a credit limit.

ICICI reports it as a secured CC with limit mentioned, at least it was mentioned for me in my CIBIL.

Simply go to a branch. Ask for the credit card rep. Open a FD and they will fill out a form for you. They will place a lien on your fixed deposit which you would have to open or already have it in place. You won’t be able to close that FD until you close the secured card. There would probably be a minimum amount required to be deposited like 50 or 75k.
