The gyfter portal is not reflecting it correctly for regalia. It is 5x reward points. So, for 10000 rupees it is 1320 reward points, which is equivalent to 660 for flights. But they are showing as 1320 cash, which is wrong.
Actually, in other credit/debit cards, u still get 500 rupees cashback (plus 1% card rewards for Millenia), which is worth more than 660 for flights.
In cashback terms, I see Regalia/diners privilege at 4.5%, Millenia credit at 6%, Millenia debit at 10%, , Diners black at 6.5%, Infinia at 10% and Other credit/debit cards at 5%.

It is totally useless breaking our heads for that extra 4-5 % for DCB or infinia reward points.
Just now compared a flight ticket for 2 adults and below is total price at final payment page for 2 passengers…
Smartbuy Yatra : 9744
Yatra Only : 8922
Diff : 822 which means 9.2 % more in smartbuy for same ticket .

Basically redeeming points on Flight/Hotels will be 1RP = 0.9 ₹
That should be our thought process for DCB/Infinia.
Decrease 10% for the rest cards’ reward rates too.
I guess similar for AGV, since we can get AGV at discounts or buy from amazon at least 5% discount, so its valuation for infinia or DCB will be 1RP = 0.47 ₹ (5% further decrease).

For Regalia, 1xRP = 0.93% if redeemed for vouchers; So now previously we used to get 5%CB for redirects like Amazon/Gyftr, but now with newer value it will be 5xRP which translates to 4.65%; Hence it’s a devaluation considering these categories; However if you take different category like Hotel (5% vs 10xRP) or Flipkart (1% vs 3xRP), then it’s an enhancement; but to be honest, most of us use smartbuy mainly for amazon and gytr only, hence it’s a bad news for most of us.

Considering a retail spend of 10k on amazon.
5% CB would result in 10k*0.05 = 500 INR statement credit
With the new reward structure, it would yield 10k*4*5/150 = 1333 RPs. 4 RPs for every 150, and 5x is the factor.
In case of regalia 0.2 is the factor for redeeming rewards to statement credit, so 1,333 gives 266INR if we go for statement credit.

also consider that previously we were getting 1x RP +5% cashback now we get only 5x RP.
so in reality we are getting 4x RP in exchange of 5% cb.
i knew this was going to happen because i got DCB.
whatever i touch gets devalued. Franklin mutual fund, yes bank, ruchi soya, and now DCB. Every single time. Very strange.
