Yesterday I got HDFC business moneyback card, in branch personal banker told me to minimum 4 transaction of ₹500 for 3 months to make it LTF. But I don’t trust him, because customer care told me there is no such offer.

Now come on Smartpay, I register my electric bill which mode is quarterly. Now I’m confused with bank words.

My card will become lifetime free after 3 months or 3 bills auto payment. Dimer suggest me what will best for me.

I don’t have any postpaid connection other than electric bill. And also not using any DTH.

there is a lot of conflicting informantion. but the 4txn of rs 500 per month offer is real i got it also and confirmed on call
but for smartpay my branch personnel told me that minimum 6 bills are necessary and on phone banking they told me that not even 1 bill payment is necessary. even if i register for lic payment and it is registered for 90 days without even a single payment my card will become ltf. Although i registered for tatasky for more than 100 days ago but my card is still not ltf. so good luck figuring out what actually works.
My advice is to register your light bill(for like a year or more but deregister as soon as your card become ltf) on smartpay and to be on a safe side do those 4 txn of Rs. 500(wallet loads are not counted as valid txn) for the first 3 months.

₹500x4 any transaction count for 3months, even wallet load (told by personal banker). But I’ll not get any reward point for wallet loads.

If they don’t do my card LTF after 3-4 months, I’ll cancel it on 11th months…

If you fulfill the t&c and they don’t make you card ltf than start doing one call per day to the cc guy at your branch. He will make your card ltf.

As,we already discussed in group you can do transaction as said by your personal banker for being on safer side and secondly as you have already registered electric bill it is more than enough,as per HDFC before completion of 4 months your smartpay account should have made 3 bill payment of any option available in smartpay tab,so make sure 3 bill payments is done in smartpay and backend team will make your card LTF after 4 months of initial card set up,i just did 3 small recharge of 100 on smartpay and my card was LTF,i hold higher variant card to ,so relax!

But bro, my electric bills are not monthly, its quarterly mode.

Means after 4 months, only one auto payment will done. Thats why I’m confused. 😉😂

Don’t pay like this…money will go waste if you do advance payment for years to come..just think if something happens now , he is able to claim without paying premium for the next year also

phonebanking says that billing cycle is counted as month but i enquired with my home branch and after some research the are saying that a month is 30 days from delivery, so if your card got delivered on 20th january than 1st month is 20th jan-19th feb.
you get email notification when your card becomes ltf but you can always call phonebanking and ask them wether your card is LTF or not.

This is with reference to your e-mail regarding membership fee on your HDFC Bank credit card account.

We understand your query pertaining to membership fee in your card, we observe from our records that you are holding Money back credit card ( Classic Card ) and your card will be first year free or life time free by opting the below given options,

Option 1 for First Year Free :
a : If you do retail transaction for an amount of Rs. 20000 (within in 90 days from the card setup date)
b : If you register your credit card for any one of the below products within 90 days from the card set up date.

Its billing cycle…. Not months,,, My RM confirm this by showing other customer statement.

And you can use paytm, mobikwik or any wallet to upload 500×4 transaction. But you will not earned any reward points.

I registered electric bill in January, and in may i removed smartpay. Now my card is LTF…..

Electric bill was not in my name, i only registered smartpay. My bill was quarterly and never autopaid by smartpay (because there was advance payment on previous quarter). Still they convert my card to LTF.

but in recent they changed the condition. so try your luck.
