First of all get good DAC then worry about headphone , if you really want to experience detailing better buy wired one instead of these wireless which will cost you lot more less

If you have budget constraints get used ones, anyway sale usually won’t offer jaw dropping deals apart from bbd

I bought bose qc35 but don’t see any difference in sound from my other cheap xiaomi 400rs headsets

Firstly 5-40k hz kinda frequency responses are really ireelevant.
If your headphone have such frequency response range be sure to use high cut and low cut filters for better listening experience.

I would suggest to you what I use personally.

Audio Technica M40X+Fiio E10K DAC+Sonarworks TRue-fi+Widows 10’s windows sonic headphone virtualizer effect =sounds like heaven.

M40X is public usable as well, if you purchase the short cable.
And if wired mode bothers you you can connect to m40x/m50x wireless using bluetooth module.
Bruh.

They have bad refund/return policy.
And they promote headphones that sound like shit often as their top pick.

And the soundstage and overall sound quality was mindblowing. If noice cancellation is not required and you don’t care the fact the person sitting beside you will also be able to hear what you’re hearing. then go for grado. BTW they are handcrafted , .

Actually, audio technica m50x and grado sr80e are the best headphones I’ve tested till date.
I tested some chinese audiophile brands too. they have aggressive quality to price ratio but I won’t recommend buying them.
