In order to move to healthier eating, I am trying to reduce namkeens and packed popcorns for my family.
So I shifted to raw popcorn kernels and making plain popcorns from them in my home cooker.
Is there any harmful effects of eating homemade popcorns? I heard something about blood sugar rising, etc. I mean popcorn is just a simple corn without any oil and preservatives, then are there any disadvantages?

It’s relatively healthy option as long as you don’t add too much salt and oil.
ganga jal ki umar me baba g kya kya kar rahe ha
family ke liye bhi hai. Not just for me.
Corn in general has high GI
So on eating it will release glucose in blood in short time which will result in spike
Moderate quantity is fine
The glycemic index of corn is 52
Foods with a GI from 56 to 69 are medium glycemic foods. Low-glycemic
foods score less than 55. Foods with a high-glycemic index (70 and
above) can increase your blood sugar level.
Eat moderately and exercise regularly, then no need of such posts and google, body will automatically give symptoms if anything wrong
roz khani h kya…
Haan, wo bhi donga bhar ke.
doing same for last 2 years, no more ACT II 😌
But pop corn doesn’t taste like theatre ones. Home made ones are soft as well, tried many techniques…..
Nothing is harmful when u comsume in limit
So this is also bad now. For past few days, I am eating a big bowl full of popcorn (around 200 gms of kernels I think) while watch a TV
it is okay baba g check previous reply of mine. its gi is 52
