Hearing aid for elderly.... suggestions pls....

I need to buy an hearing-aid for an elderly person… however I’m confused… checked Amazon and saw aids available for as little as 400-500 rs and also at ridiculously expensive price in lakhs… Anyone who has an idea about hearing aid something around 2-4k that is decent quality and usable….

suggestions pls

hushed I didn’t know they can be bought over the counter. A prescription not needed?

These hearing aid are no different than a TWS headphones but with a microphone and DAC amplifier built in for live audio processing and don’t need any prescription.

hearing aids can be brought without prescriptions….
my main question still stands…. is there a decent quality hearing aid in the range of 2-4k ?
anyone with the experience pls share your suggestion….

But for senior citizens and without proper diagnosis of the type of impairment, likely causes… (in my personal view) is nothing short of sacrilegious absurdity.

P.S.: I do know (that) you are merely stating facts. and have also noted that you ARE NOT the OP.
There are MANY specific (varied) applications of seemingly similar technologies, each with a distinctive end result.
‘One size fits all’ IS NOT the dictum that applies in such restrictions/ disabilities or ailments.
