Friends – I have a fully automatic washing machine and when we add the water, it doesn’t get collected in the drum and its continuously leaking. The company technician is saying the PCB is gone and demanding 8k for the repair.

Do you guys have any similar kind of experience. I just feel that I am being cheated by the technician. I may go or a new one vs purchasing a PCB for 8k if the problem really is with PCB.

Thanks

Ask some local technicians opinion without saying him what the company technicians said .

COMPANY TECHNICIANS CHARGE A BOMB AND WANTS YOI TO REPLACE WITH HEAVILY PRICED SPARES OR INDIRECTLY WANTS YOU GET NEW MACHINES .

I am not a washing machine expert, but from my experience (of cheating and getting out) problem is with water level controller call a local technician or from urban clap they will do it in 1000- 2000
You haven’t mentioned the age of washing machine, load type, if it is in warrenty or if there are any other problems. Depending upon it the cost will change.

Check for drain water rubber. If water is draining continuously then it could be rubber gap problem. Buy that and replace on your own. Take the rough idea from this video and repair yourself

This likely may be the case.

From what I understood, I suppose it is fully automatic top load. In this case, it is mostly the gutter in the pipeline involved in water draining should be preventing auto closing of the valve.

Get it verified (troubleshooted) by a local technician. Do search on YouTube and make yourself aware of what could possibly be the issue.

Well bro, i had a similar experience, the door lock of my ifb front load was not working properly, so i called company , engineer visit, amd confirmed that pcb and door lock will get replaced…
Out of saving bucks i called local engineer ,he replacedthe door lock at just 600₹ …after 1 hour wehad a boom. They was a short circuit which took the pcb, door lock, wiring, and motor part (which controls the speed)…. Now i had to call company engineer asi was left wid no option…. He tried everything from motor to pcb and failed to start the machine like it was before….also due to high repair cost (he quoted around 80% value of the new machine)..at the end i had to sell it for 800₹ to scrap person…5 years old front load..hope u understand the pain.

Conclusion – dont call any unprofessional person to save ur bucks…these parts are pcb connected/depended..they need to replace pcb everytime they have to replace a part…take ur decision wisely.

Just a suggestion – Take amc and get everything done under it.mine was expired 8 days before this incident and again kya he hoga , Aesa soch ke renew ni karaya or L lag gye.

Usually front load washers will have the opposite issue, that is not able to drain out. The drain pipe/pump gets clogged over time, and it becomes difficult for the pump to drain.

And the power to this little pump motor is controlled via PCB, which means you will likely need to change the PCB or get it repaired. I suspect a relay on the board could have damaged which is now enabling the pump all the time.
