There is one golden rule in business, when u start might face losses, but if u stick to it the chances of becoming successful is high. Generally people open a business and after 2-3 months or less if they don't see profit they close down. Ofcourse u have to give ur business time to see success.

So,
1.give ur business time
2.stick to it.

(it seems) apparently the governments (government offices) are good customers.

after much deliberation, 18-20 months back, I moved away from Vim/Pril dishwash gel and also started trying the locally available generics.

while I still use Pril, Vim.. the Dmart type (₹99 for 5 liters) piqued my interest.

I did eventually find a local person in one town, who said that they make all sorts of floor cleaning products, handwash, dish wash gets, toilet cleaners.
the person claimed that they had supplied to Dmart too, but their local procurement terms were unacceptable so the matter was not pursued beyond 6-7 months.

now they target schools, educational institutions, local government offices, e-tenders (including those from the government), besides retailers.

yeah, i know, it is not really much help.
but you too seem a bit raw in thus.
for instance, the project reports submitted to banks or financial institutions (if loans, working capital, overdraft are needed)
require things like capital, projected capex, details of other specifics and overall 17-18 month plans.

here we are unaware ofvwhat skillsers you or your team will bring on the table, how much creditworthiness you have (if loan would be needed) or if self investment then how much capital can be infused.

another small scale (can be operated from a small she'd or even 2000-2500 sq. foot area) unit.. can be for creating plastic or PU items.

HDOE, nylon or other oellers can be used, besides recycled plastics, rubber or PU composites can be used.. for manufacturering things like planters/ flower pots, clogs/ bathroom slippers (hawai chappals).

just 2 years back, I met someone who was happy with the 18-20000 (in hand) salary he was getting and he said his seth/employer (a couple) are exclusively focusing on and supplying stuff for catching wild animals.
umm.. not for illegal purposes.. ut for supplying to the forest department.

ao I assume.. harnesses snares, large straps, customised cages and Lord knows what all.

he said even during the peak lockdowns the couple (ma'am, sir/ some business family) paid their salaries.

I assume that the couple are well connected and/or were doing reasonably good in the business (and had compassion) for them to be able to support their staff.

it is just an idea though. I do not really have experience of catching wild snakes, leopards or moving injured elephants et al.
not sure how big the market for such things might ve.

a bir more headache, but what if one gets into mini-frauds like 'A2 ghee', herbal oils, magical remedies for hair growth, impotence (erectile dysfunction) type things?

one can claim that the milk is procured from certified livestock, if one does not want to bear the risks of managing one's own cattle (insurance, health and often cattle need to be replaced when they are no longer milch).
for oils, magical cures for vigor vitality, not much risk.
everyone from Baidyanath, Dabur, Zandu, Patanjali to the local brands claim thar their shilajeet is pure, organic and their oils, medicines are herbal, ayurveda.

but be careful if trying to export.

i am acquainted with a lady, who dabbled into sending/exporting all these vigor, vitality (sexual stamina) products undef the garb of 'ayurvedic'/herbal.. to middle eastern markets.
but at-least one container full of stock sent to Saudi Arabia got tested by the authorities and they did not let the importer take it.
Saudi authorities found traces of steroidal additives, other normal (modern medicine) chemials/active salts!

she had ZERO GUILT in her voice when she said that she had the bottles relabelled and sold them in India!!
_br> Since she was getting them manufactured/ suppliers in Punjab, Himachal, Gujarat etcetera.. i am assuming that the contract manufacturer had no liability.

They got paid by the lady/ exporter.. just as Chinese manufacturers get paid.. irrespective of whether the stuff sells on Flipkart, Meesho or not.

Packaged water too can be a fairly good business.. if in two, two and half years one sets up good linkages.. one can have break even plus profits.
Sonetimes within a year too.

vack in the day, had batchmates from Nepal.. who planned to import the machinery from Germany.
Premium products (bottked water).

Now almost everything can be procured locally or from neighbouring countries.

Having a 50-55 sest call-center (BPO/KPO) may not have huge operational costs.
it can be managed if the customer/ business pays on time or the terms allow some fixed advance payments and timely tranche payments.

Many automotive and other automation companies often outsource MANY (speciality, customised) robotic (machines) devices, the electronics needed for those robots.. to third party vendors.
one just needs to have the right setup, relevant freshers and few managerial level people with dual specialisation, experience in mechanical plus automation.

Distributorship in capital equipment is another high paying business.. if one forms proper industry linkages.

Imagine I want to set up a pressure cooker making unit or wool processing unit, leather tannery and some machinery is available at Rajkot, Guangzhou.
But the manufacturers say that YOU re the sole distributor in the region/market.

I do not know how viable and competitive it is, but zi see the operators/ drivers of heavy earth moving equipments (bulldozers, excavators) earning/ getting paid even more than the usual college passout/ graduate.

so if one invests in, say a Tata-Hitachi, Caterpillar, JCB digger/excavator..

then one can wet-lease or dry lease it to businesses (builders) or others (projects where NGOs, others need it), else simply rent it out on per day basis.

(A wet lease is when the aircraft, other vehicle AND ITS CREW are part of the lease. A dty-lease is just the equipment.
in this case, the driver/operator and if any helper is there.. then the ustad and shagird/ driver-trainee helper for parr of thevwet lease else a dry lease will be just the excavator/digger.)

The machine can be hypothecated, insured to reduce loss of capital (one's own capital).
