Hi all,
I opened DBS savings accnt in my address ( Branch available in my city) 2 yrs back. Now bank sent few mails regarding kyc documents to submit over mail/in person. I sent 3-4 times over mail & in person one time. But on 5th Oct, they put debit freeze on my account having 16k balance. No, prior sms/mail that, kyc docs r accepted or rejected. Simply, one morning got mail that, account is debit freeze.
Then tried to contact on phone again after sending docs, they say i will get verification call. But still now no verification call came. Chat with agent not working ( it says to authenticate & hangs). Now, i dont have any option to check when will my account opens. Tried twitter also.
Anyone else faced same issue?? Also, looking at situation, i feel that, bank may close soon.

That is scary and not expected from DBS. Try to twitter it out and see if you get any positive response

DBS India is not closing.

May be not. I dont know but i had previously accounts with 3 co-operative banks and all broke one by one. Further, my wife has FD & Savings accnt with PMC bank which is also collapsed. So, not from my prblm, but i sensing something is not good.

Don’t worry bro. DBS is like SBI of India. It’s not going anywhere. I have put all my life’s saving in DBS FD only.

Just visit their branch in person and ask them to complete your KYC and unfreeze your account.

Foreign banks in India are also insured thru DICGC. Moreover dbs in India is now wholly owned subsidiary just like any other pvt bank.
