My dad is type-2 Diabetes since 8-10years now. His age is 63.

Diabetes Care Powder brands:

Ensure, protein-x, PentaSure,

D-Protin, horlicks, nesle, Fresubin, Virgo Healthcare

Brief details about my dad below:

1. He is a pharmacist by profession.

2. He is taking sufficient care of himself in terms of exercise,

3. recently he is low on energy levels, low enthusiam.

4. He is a pure vegetarian [no onion, no garlic] // naturally low protein intake

Note: I have already brought sugarfree - Dabur chyawanprasha for him.

Do consult your doctor before buying any  supplement, if it's necessary or not. With the levels of heavy metal contamination seen in several/most Ayurvedic products, nevermind their actual utility and some are outright dangerous, I would be wary of using even Chyawanprash.

The right food is the only supplement, would not recommend any additional supplements

dont take these powders, either they will have high levels of salt or hidden sugars, take normal diet with less oil and salt, have lots of salads, fruits, dry fruits etc, drink homemade soups, also regular exercise like walking etc and sleep is more important

As he is a pharmacist himself, please ask him to enquire about homeopathy's Dr. Reckweg R40 from his medical contacts if it should be given to him or not. It worked on me like magic, my sugar is below 100 since few months and i have stopped taking it already. Also read it reviews for proper dosage. As you said he is low on energy that's why I wrote the name. Please consult with suitable doctor about it first. One observable change i noticed was that tiredness went away.

Are you still using the  abovementioned homeopathic formulation? It contains 36% alcohol by volume! Lots of homeopathic formulations contain 90% v/v. It's use to reduce blood sugar doesn't make sense as alcohol consumption has been proven to worsen blood sugar control in diabetics. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC67...

It's probable that it contains drugs like Metformin to lower blood sugar.

Don't use such powders .

Consult a good doctor.

And as a supplement I can only recommend CoQ10-150 mg per day.

and dont use sugarfree dabur chayawanprash.

It'll do more harm than any good.

Check his levels of hemoglobin and vitamin deficiency test. Iron and vitamin b12 deficiency are main reasons in most cases. Supplement and food/fruits rich in these would be beneficial.

Fasting is strong tool to reverse diabetes. He can start with intermittent fasting, later move to prolonged fasting like 24hrs/36hrs. I was at pre diabetic stage. Did multiple fasting, including 3 days water fast. I am good after 2 months. But consult your doctor before that.

Low energy - what's better than ashvaganda and shilajit.
