for Microsoft Windows/ Microsoft Office users, the dictation tool (Windows key + "H") works well, along with any virtual audio cable.
I mentioned the one from VB audio, for example/ convenience.

In so far as I recollect, the dictate tool of Microsoft does not have a time-limit constraint and is okayish understanding accents.

Instead of feeding the sound from the live microphone, the virtual audio cable can be set up to feed from the A/V file.


Domain specific tools too are there, for medico-legal or pure medical, pure legal transcribing too.
The good ones are paid though.


Other applications too exist, but I am not in the mood for DKD.
You are intelligent enough to find those out after you do your own dimag ka dahi (DKD).. analysing different ones to figure out which freeware, trialware/nagware better suits your needs.

I do not recollect with authenticity, as to how many desi dialects, languages MS Dictate picks up, but it did have options for some.

For over twenty-five years, I have also liked "Dragon Naturally Speaking" too.
