nothing can be done; dealing with Axis is nightmare that too for 2K
if u have savings account, go to branch and negotiate with manager by threatening to close account
Which card? Ace?

When a UPI payment fails in such instances, make the payment again until it succeeds. Doesn’t matter if both go through eventually. Getting a late payment strike by the bank and CIBIL is a bigger headache.

Why you were charged so high.

I got Ace card in Jan and was not aware of the due date after assuming it to be same as my other Axis cards but later got call for not even paying the minimum due. I was charged only 500+Gst as late payment fee for around 15k outstanding. I paid 3 days after due date.

I think late payment charges depend on total due amt.

That is why I asked as I was charged only around 500 bucks for 15k whereas he has been charged 2k for just 5k outstanding.

I think he clubbed late payment charges with interest payment & auto-debit reversal charge(min 450 charge) along with maybe over limit charge(min 500 charge, initially payment got through so limit released & used in some txn but when reversal happened after 6-7 days it went into negative).

He may be having unbilled txns which get charged from Day1 at very high rates once last bill payment missed, many many new customers I came across do not know this

Effectively once a bill payment is missed, all txns in that bill and after that bill(unbilled txns) are charged from Day1 at around 36% interest rate per yr + 18%GST

Amex and HDFC reverse such charges upon request. ICICI, Axis don’t.
