Help Needed - Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P

Hi Folks,

I am planning to buy this Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P (https://www.mi.com/in/buy/product/mi-robot-vacu...) for my mom; this product is right now exclusively sold on mi.com only at 24,999; wanted some help in getting some sort of discounts/offers if available; Kindly suggest best ways to buy it (have multiple CCs, I guess IndusInd Pinnacle will be giving 2.5% which will be the max I can get); any coupons/offers welcomed.

TIA

whilst i do not have help, answers for your queries, i have few of my own dilemma about the efficacy of such designs/ products.

Some close acquaintances who use the actual pioneer “Roomba” products to have had mixed feelings.

and if what you are closing in on, is STYJ02YM (Mijia STYJ02YM) then sgsin, have heard a lot of the people mention the ‘hardware’ design flaws with the water storage and management system (and no amount of software or firmware updates can really solve phydical flaws).

for example, the description below this video snd the video itself (somewhere towards the end of the third minute onwards) too says so very ‘matter of factly"

that apart, and even though one is aware of tge pros and cons of being an early adapter, as a value conscious desi , one HAS TO take into acvount the operstional costs (including the time needed for upkeep, the physical labour to do so, tge consumables costs, recurring purchases/ frequency and availability of changing the spares).

ummm… i am not dissuading. like i mentioned earlier, it is a ’dilemma’.

in our family we have minimalist set-up, less clutter and no fancy items/ hobbies …
and so “someone like me” is not too perturbed about the robos not always learning when NOT TO bump into objects, people, pets/kids
B U T
during not pandemic times… would i be eager to have it as the main/first option¡¿

Not sure how you could get the best discount but they were offering mi smart speaker free along with robot mop. You could sell they smart speaker on OLX if it’s not needed and make some money.

Yeah, actually in my mind I broke the cost as 21k for mop and 4k for speaker; that way to an Indian mind, it gives a sense of discount laughing
Btw, your reviews on the mop was one of the persuading factor (y)

I got the Vacuum Mop in December. Good Product, Vacuum power is good. Mop function is also good but not at all equivalent to Hand Mopping, cleans and removes light stains from the floor but isn’t able to remove dried up deep stains. Struggles over Mats, wires, or any other thin flat surface lying on the floor(Plate/ Cloth etc). Human hair get stuck in a roller brush on the lower surface which you’ll have to manually clean (although that does not affect the function). Got it for 18k + Free Automatic Soap Dispenser+ 2k off on Mi Smart Speaker+No Cost EMI+GST Invoice.

Initial Crowdfunding of 10K pieces were at 17999; then later it was 19999, but now it’s on 24999; sad to say, but the spike from 20k to 25k was due to govt.’s import tax and china blah blah things. Anyways I m fine with 25K, just wanted to see if I can get any additional offers;

Bro, one question; I know the mopping functionality is at all upto the mark, but the vacuum suction (basically the dry sweeping part) is quite good and does a good job; so I guess it will be fine to use it daily for sweeping and light mopping; once or twice in a week we can have the mopping done manually; is it a correct assumption ? We are having tough time to find a good maid, and my mom is finding it difficult to do it daily, so wanted this cleaner, at least it will reduce her weekly load by a good margin.

@BlueFlash

Before buying this, show her on you tube and make sure she needs it first. Ask her if she will use this after bought. Because most of these latest tech gifts to moms and dads never gets used and ends up waste of your money.

Have shown it bro, my mom is a bit tech savvy compared to her generation folks laughing
She’s fine with the functionality, as long as things work as shown in site/reviews vids.

Its very easy to use, even if someone is not familiar with the Mobile App, the cleaning can be simply started by pressing a physical button on the device itself.

Yes, vacuum part is quite good, though as mentioned you need to ensure things like Mats, wires (in my home we had an Spike Protector on the floor whose wire would entangle with the robot. Other than that, I believe this can definitely be used for daily sweeping and manual sweeping+mopping once a week. Battery life is 1% per minute (with the Sweep+Mop function) so will do almost 90 minutes of cleaning on a single charge.
