I have been trying to update KYC details on PayZapp via PAN verification for a relative of mine, just for Times Prime membership offer. But even though I enter exact same details, the demographic verification always fails. This is the error message which I get,

ALERT ! Your PAN validation has failed due to incorrect PAN/Name as on PAN. Kindly submit it again or go to settings to complete Basic KYC

I have tried all sorts of combinations, but every time I get this same error back.

@Thunder766 I am facing the same issue. Did you find any solution of it?

Yes and no.

Yes because there might be a change in name between name printed on PAN and name as per PAN records. To find out download DigiLocker and get PAN verification letter, or Log into your Income Tax account using your PAN on website. There you’ll see the full name given in their records. In my case on PAN card printed I had an single letter initial, but after checking I got my full name as per PAN records.

No because even after getting all details right, and also after cross verifying with details on PAN records, sometimes it just doesn’t work. I think there might be a problem with PayZapp or NSDL (verifying authority for PayZapp KYC).

Hello Thunder766. Even I faced the same problem. Type your full name as on the pan card, which means you have to elaborate your initial. (E.g.) the pan card name is written as R SIVARAJ, here you have to mention full name of your initial. RAMU SIVARAJ will the be full name for KYC.

I am facing the same issue everytime I try to update my basic KYC. This might be the problem with the Payzap App.

No, actually you have to enter name as in Income Tax records, note that name as shown on PAN card and name in Income Tax records may or may not be the same, depending upon your PAN application.

If you have ever filled a PAN application, you may have come across this field where it asks desired name to be printed on PAN card.

To find out the actual name as per Income Tax records, you can try fetching data through Digilocker or log onto the Income Tax website for that PAN and check there.

Even I am having the same issue, when i contacted the payzapp CC they told we can try this only 3 times. if we tried 3 times with wrong name then even if you provide correct name for the 4th time it wont consider this. you can cross check this with customer care.

I don’t think this protocol was at place when I did mine, because I tried like 10+ times and found a workaround later on which I already have shared.

Even mine failed number of times, then did enter name in CAPITALS same as it was mentioned in PAN. It worked. But its nightmare to get the KYC done for Payzapp. Horrible system.

Dear All

Here is the solution,

You must mention your full name in Payzapp .... ie.. if your pan card name is "Gowtham N" then you should mention like "Nandhakumar Gowtham" and don't mention like "Gowtham N" nor "Gowtham Nandhakumar".
