Help needed regarding fraud

Hello Guys purchased an iPad from olx yesterday at the time of chat he told me everything is excellent there is no cosmetic damage and everything working perfectly

I got injured so i asked my cousin to check the ipad internally it was working fine there are no scratches or dents on body either but there was a slight scratch mark on screen so he tried to remove scratch guard but he unable to get it removed so he paid him & bring iPad but when he checked it at home he finds out there is an crack on screen & when we go to his home to return the iPad he rudely declined it said you have checked it in front of you now he is not taking it back what option i have he told us you are welcome to file an fir

Sad part he is a teacher in Delhi university as well as phd holder and invited to his home so my cousin believed him & didn’t try to remove scratch guard forcefully

Can anyone suggest what should i do any suggestions

Nothing can be done. It was your/your cousin duty to check the iPad in and out.
Ofcourse, His karma will take care of him. Don’t worry about that though.

Keep asking him nicely again & again. Hope he knows what wrong he did & feel sorry & takes it back. If he talks too rude everytime then let it go. If that scratch is too much of an eyesore then get it replaced. If not then let it be there to serve u as a reminder. Don’t feel too bad about it, this too shall pass. But do mark that professor as bad seller on OLX at the end of episode
