Help - refund issue

So I bought an electric kettle with dream11 and another code and got 400 cashback. But the kettle is malfunctioning and I tried to place a replacement request but cc told me they would only refund. I asked if I would get the full refund or adjusted with cashback, she replied that I’ll get the full amount on my bank account, no minus.
But the way she pressured me to get refund is still worrisome.
Did anyone faced such a problem then how much refund one gets in such situations?
