Best recommendation. However, it is good for 2 full tanks as cashback is limited to ₹100 twice (total ₹200 in a calendar month).
To the OP: Do read T&C if you want to get this card

Check ICICI hpcl card. It gives 2.5% cashback and 1% fuel surcharge waiver at hpcl pump.

Are you still getting that 2.5% cashback..? Last time I called up customer care enquiring about this 2.5 %, they said they stopped giving cashback for this icici hpcl coral card.

Do you get reward points for other purchases on this debit card? I have it since 1 year and haven’t received a single point for any purchase

HDFC bharat card has 5% cashback on fuel capped at Rs 150 per month (fuel worth 3000) and fuel surcharge waiver (1%) if topup is 400+ and the also 0.75% cashback by govt for using digital payment.

Catch : cashback is converted to points that can only be redeemed to cash in multiples of 2500.

So it seems Citi iocl is still a better option along with HDFC Bharat card. Although I only have Citi iocl and Amazon ICICI cards
Will use Citi iocl going forward. Tired of farzi coupons from Paytm. Earlier I was using MobiKwik

HDFC Bharat card can reward up to 300 points per month at 5%. These points are in two categories. Cat. A includes Fuel/grocery/IRCTC, and recharges. Cat B includes payzapp/smartbuy/eazyemi. Each category capped at 150 points (Can spend up to Rs 3000 in each category for benefits).
1. 1 point equals one rupee, however redemption can only be done in multiples of Rs 2500.
2. I saw a message about Rs 100+gst as redemption fee while I redeemed the points last month. Bank hasn’t charged it so far, will update after statement/bill generation.
3. Payzapp recharges will also be clubbed in Cat. A along with fuel purchase, so not so useful. You can use smartbuy for small purchases from flipkart and Amazon to get the additional 150 fom Cat B. I haven’t used eazyemi feature till now.

NB. There is no additional 0.75% cashback now

@gkrtvm
hello,
you said you will update after bill generate?
1.are they charging 100+gst?
2.i asked local hdfc branch people for this card, they said due to covid, they are not giving,is there any other way to get this card,i mean how to contact cc(tried,it’s not working)
3.i don’t have account in hdfc.
for payzapp, for 1st yr,basic kyc is enough to use cashback offers and from 2 yr, full kyc needed to get cash back on offers, which means i have to open hdfc account.i read in other threads.
i want to use payzapp for local medicine and clothes shops. thought i ll get 5% cashback under category b.
is it true? full kyc is must? do you ve any idea about this?
4.annual spends 20k or 50k?
please reply
thank you
