Hello,
My father has applied for a home loan. He got 24.5 lac sanctioned with drawing power 17 lac. That 17 lac got disbursed on sept 5th. He loan account statement is showing part period interest of 12,800 in the last of each month(nov,oct) despite the emi of 27k being deducted every month from my account on 7th. Isn't the part interest only for 1st month? Or Am I being charged for rest of 7.5 lac that's still not credited to my account. Please help guys.

I think there is a gap between amount disbursed date and actual emi start date.

For that period they might have charged interest
