Nope, but during the order it was saying delayed and it was definetely delayed. 

Further to add, i took the gold membership 2 mins after the placing the order.

Ajkal yeh tez ho gaye hai, they keep on increasing time for delivery due to any xyz reason.

Once the order gets delivered. In the order section, you get an option to claim it. On tapping it, a scratch card pops up.

There are a bunch of catches here:

They specify a zone. If the delivery person is within the zone on time you will not get anything even if order is late when the guy reach your house.

The coupon is not 100% off. It is ₹100 off on next order. 

The coupon is valid for 3 days.

It can not be clubbed with other offers.

only applicable for Zomato Gold

when you order something, at the final page it shows time range like 10-15 min (time range changes according to load on restaurent, delivery partner nearby and average delivery time).. also the time starts when restaurent accepts your order..

as soon as restaurent accepts order, it shows you exact time after which you can claim coupan for late delivery..

coupan is of 100 off on next order

it doesn't matter what's the value of order, you will get exact 100 off coupan even if you order 10 rupee item

after delayed delivery, there is a option  to claim coupan on order delivered page..

the coupan is only valid for 3 days exact from the time of delivery time..

love this feature of zomato, as because of this i am getting my orders faster (delivery guys don't even bother about this time thing), but zomato tries we receive the order as soon as possible..

normally i am getting coupans 3/10 times

don't know why they are giving money when they already in so much losses

Order place karne se pehle gold hota to baat thi, otherwise nhi mikega.

The option to claim the late delivery coupon may be available for a limited time after delivery. In case you don't scratch the card within the timeframe allocated, scratch card may disappear. The coupon doesn't reveal automatically.

If this 100 off can't be combined with any other offer then how is it giving money because many restaurants have 50-60% off till 120/150 so on those restaurants using this 100 off coupon is actually a loss.

this 100 off coupan is only benificial when restaurent has fixed discounts ..

many restaurents have fixed 50-75% unlimited discounted on all products..

almost all of them have prices higher than normal prices..

find some good restaurent that has good price after discount on food items..

let's say a restaurent has 50% discount, you order of item of value 100 (orginal price 200 but 50% discount), then because of zomato gold you will get free delivery on this 100 order..

this is not apply for all restaurents..

eg : a restuarent has 75% discount then you order something of 50 then on final page you can see final amount as 50+taxes let's say =60, you order items of 60 and got delayed delivery now you will get 100 off coupan

In my area such fixed discount restaurants are too few & usually of lower quality. That means this 100 off coupon need some planning to use it effectively, in my case its most effective use would be on restaurants with no/practically useless offers like those chain restaurants sweet shops of Haldiram, Bikaner etc.

yes, in your case 
only benificial if restaurents has no offers but you have to order for 199+ to get free delivery.. also do check the prices even if no offer on that restaurent as even big restuarents or food chain hike prices..
the problem with food chains is that they levy too much in taxes like for normal restaurents taxes are like 10-15 whereas big food chains has 30-60 as taxes..

But big chains like Haldiram, bikaner also has better quality(at least for traditional sweets which is their specialty).

i am not talking about quality here, what i am saying is 
lets say you buy sweets worth 200 but you have to pay 200+taxes (30-60)

also some food chains hikes normal prices to 20-25% 

so check and then order

Taxes are similar on sweets at least in my location from good rated restaurants., a difference of just 5-6 rupees between taxes. In base price though the sweets from haldiram/bikaner are costlier by about 40-50 rupees but that's expected.

I was replying to the post where it was mentioned "don't know why they are giving money when they already in so much losses"

This late delivery coupon works perfectly on resturant with flat offers where other coupons could not be applied. I have utilised this voucher for nic when they had flat 159 offer.

NIC is still expensive. It costs around 100 for 500 ml after taxes with all discounts and coupons. You will get around a kg icecream for same price from much more reputable Amul and mother dairy.

Well it's personal choice and i would prefer nic or naturals everytime over mother dairy or amul. But this coupon getting applied I have just given example. You can apply this coupon on any restaurant which offers flat discount where other coupons or bank offers can not be applied.

If he didn't reach within 100 mtr of your location then only you can claim and you gotta have gold before placing

Today my order worth Rs. 170 (after all discounts) was late by 8 minutes. However, I was given only Rs.67 as on time guarantee discount. When asked, customer service kept on repeating that it is "upto Rs. 100" and the coupon amount depends on the order value.

Any idea whether zomato has once again changed the terms ?
