I made a donation to Smile India Trust for Rs. 500
Can I use the receipt in some way? what is 10/50/100% deductible? If I donate for Rs.2000, do I have to pay -2k in taxes?
Already googled but whatever is written goes over my had.

Whatever you donate to Smile India Trust or any other trust registered under 80G, 50% of the donation will be allowed as deduction from your taxable income (not taxes).
100% deduction is available for certain funds like PM relief fund.
