This increases a lot in winter, so much that walking becomes difficult. It was in control when Fish Oil was consumed, but now it is back. What do you guys take for your arthritis & knee pain, apart from regular allopathy medicines?

Exercise is the only remedy for any joint related problems. Do controlled exercise as advised by physiotherapist. Ayurvedic medicine Shallaki also helps and it is harmless. And there is hot compress.

There can be many causes but one of the common cause is higher uric acid levels in body. The easiest remedy to control uric acid is regularly consuming Banana Stems (the white inner part), preferably minced/diced and steamed/boiled along with drinking 4 ltrs of water a day.

Bhai, take some salt and pour it in a cloth. Heat the cloth and apply the cloth on affected area. 🙂 It helps.

When its due to advanced osteo/rheumatoid arthritis pretty much nothing short of opioid-based painkillers will seemingly work in case of acute flare-ups. No other way but to just get through it somehow. Low strength CBD oil also in the former case proved ineffective. Less said about the popular ayurvedic oils etc. the better.

Does knee cap help in this case?

Also what all tests should the person do? Calcium & Uric Acid? Anything else?

BTW studies show that (moderate) exercise helps quite a bit but as many as 70% of the patients didn’t. Also losing weight in case one is overweight.

You could give a try with high strength CBD oil. If it has proven somewhat effective in cancer pain I guess arthritis pain should be amenable to it.

Example of CBD oil? Hope it doesnt have side effects.

My mother's rheumatologist had discontinued all DMARDs some months ago. A few attacks occurred thereafter. About a couple of months ago decided to give Castor oil a try and so far no further attacks. I had bought from Goodcare brand (quality approved by Baidyanath FWIW) on Pharmeasy. It has to be applied slightly warmed.

You mean on the joints, which dmard she was having? Methotrexate? Along with tofe? Is she eating any medicine now or everything fine just by castor oil?
