Depends on the mileage of ur car .....

I recently booked a cab[dzire] for a 500 km round trip ...so i was charged 12rs/km +toll ...and dzire has a mileage of around 20 per litre so 2500 rs went in fuel and 3500 was savings for the driver ..dont know much but thats the usual ratein which  i book cabs so its about 6-7rs per km savings .....as diesel petrol price are doubled almost margin has been sucked off totally 

not worth the effort. basically you will be selling your health for little money. as you age you get more heath problems than a normal person.

try other fields where you dont have to sell health. you can be car mechanic and earn even more money than a driver.

from what i know , a cab guy i know who does mumbai pune trips , 2 trips a day , CNG car , after everything he makes around 30 k a month

Not worth it. Whatever you save or earn on it, you will spend 10 times more minimum in your hospital bills after you turn 40-50.

In 2011 when ola started , i know a cab driver who earned atleast 2-3 lakhs per month.... Now same person is earning only 50k per month... It would get worse only considering more developments like metro trains in many cities ... Not suggested to become a cab driver at this point
