Today there is a glut of subscription services online. There seems to be a subscription service for entertainment, for food, medicines, reading, healthcare, travel, a subscription for other subscriptions… you have pro, pro plus, Max, Super, Circle, One, Honour and any other such branding which bestows a “special” status.
While each looks reasonably priced, a collection of such subscriptions is a drain on resources, on mental fortitude trying to keep track and utilization ratios…

No paid subscriptions as of now, i dont order out regularly, so food subscriptions are useless for me , Swiggy one isnt worth for me to save 5 rupees on instamart delivery (my orders are very less).
Telegram is there for everything entertainment , i dont mind youtube ads , and not an avid music listener , so youtube is sufficient for that too.

I have RPi4 4GB Model and since I was new to all this, I opted for installing DietPi as the software that is loaded on MicroSD Card. With DietPi, I can easily install all the required softwares. Also I run headless system which means no monitor being used and if I ever want to access the disk, I can use FTP took from any pc or ipad or so and if I want to access desktop, I use VNC client.
Initial setups take some time for making sonarr / radarr work with qbittorrent but once it is done, it sort of runs on auto pilot.
I have also setup a sonarr bot in telegram which notifies me whenever it grabs any new episode of a tv show (which I put in sonarr before) and downloads it.
All this was very overwhelming for me initially but once it was done, there is almost zero maintenance. I can also seed torrents for long this way as for private tracker ones, it is always better to maintain ratio.

Nice. So now you have like your own server for streaming Content from your hdd? Or you watch it offline/private network?
If public, how do you ensure security of your server?
