When a company/institute grows much bigger, they should be more careful in quality control and strict in hiring. The way WHJ designed their ads reflects their teaching skills. Not just this, many online platforms like Unacademy, Coursera, Khan Academy, Byjus etc and offline coaching institutes have several such dumb people who call themselves as teachers. Teaching wrong concepts to kids is much dangerous than doing the same with adults. These idiotic people are spoiling kids future for money.

Having a bit knowledge about how to teach, I had the opportunity to explore all those platforms.
The fact is none of them are following the basic pedagogy. In fact they don’t have an iota of knowledge about it.

Creating some animated video/ppt doesn’t make you a good teacher .

You have to implement various levels of learning (e.g. Blooms taxonomy for cognitive domain). The same must be implemented not only for teaching but for assessment as well. Different types of questions targets different knowledge domains.

Now coming to mass market companies like buku or whitehat etc. They thinks that’s teaching is an easy job and just by connecting teachers and students will solve all problem.

Yes you will earn money but you will not sustain for long.
There is thousands of tech ed starts coming up they are implementing teaching learning scientifically. I have seen some one of them are really interesting and it will change the way we learn forever.

Forget about following proper pedagogical techniques some of the faculty members don’t have basic knowledge.

People thinks child education is the easiest because a child will not argue against what the teacher is preaching .. here we parents have to be careful to save our child from predatory educators.

During childhood, learning rate is the fastest. You put garbage in you get garbage out for the rest of the life.

You can order an item from flipkart / amazon , if you find some fault in it you can return. If return option is not there you loose your money.

But in case of online education once you learn garbage things or learn something in wrong way or develop just Remembering and Understanding domain of learning (there are 6 types of cognitive learning remembering, understanding, applying, analysing , evaluating and creating) then you can’t revert it back. Money can be earned back but these companies should not play with child’s future, societies future.

Regarding Khan Academy and Similar platforms : Yes they are one of the leading players in online teaching learning.
I personally will recommend the same.
but I have not seen any educator if they are following any certain quality standard !!

Ask any online educator that what are the pedagogical initiatives they are following for maintaining a standard (I said standard not quality) of education. You will get your answer.

Again I repeat teaching doesn’t mean just dictating some facts to the students.

By the way these teacher dominated learning system is going to die soon.

Active learning (student centered learning) , hybrid pedagogy, flipped learning, problem based learning etc. are going to take over to the current system. Education 4.0 is on the way.
