How the hack Myntra discount coupons work?

Backstory: I have placed an order on Myntra last month and they cancelled it but they gave me a coupon as a token of apology. This is what they send me…
Today I added 1199 rs t-shirt in the cart and went to apply the coupon but it’s only giving me 96 rs discount (8%) instead of 40% upto 400 rs. Tried with few other clothing items and got the same result.
How the hack their math work? Can any Myntra expert help and explain.

Then it’s pretty useless.
First, it doesn’t work on all products.
Second, most of the non discounted products have inflated MRP.
Third, if I manage to find a product and apply the 400 rs coupon then Myntra adds 149 rs shipping charges because cart total became less than 1199 rs.
Shitty Myntra. I would never use Myntra if I did not have some gift card balance in it.
myntra discount voucher give a Max discount on full MRP products.
while on others it adjusted for discount already offered by them less discount voucher.
i always create new id to place order from myntra and utilize that new user offer.
Products have max percentage discount tagged ON mrp
Try on non discounted or low discounted product
It will give full 40%
