The only rule to get cheap tickets is to book in advance, atleast 3 months, but if u booking for urgent travel then there is no method or trick, it's just pure luck... I use Skyscanner and google flights to look , in my previous trips i got "new delhi-malaysia-bali-malaysia-delhi" for 15K return fare... For vietnam i got it for 17K return fare at one week b4 trip, although u can get it for 12-14K if booked earlier...
When u book through Skyscanner, u get various offers through MMT, ibibo, clear trip, as cashback or no cost emi discounts...

Most of the time, when I try to book flight tickets, I usually don't get good discounts. I feel like I don't know many tricks, and I often get anxious. When I check prices on multiple websites, they skyrocket, and I end up paying more.
I have a few questions regarding this, so kindly answer in the following sequence:
-
Which is the cheapest way to book tickets?
Where do you usually book the cheapest flight tickets? Please name the website or app.
-
How to get the best price every time?
Are there any credit or debit cards that offer additional discounts? If yes, please provide details.
-
How to avoid ticket price increases when searching or using multiple websites?
-
Lastly, does SBI Cashback Card give 5% on top of all offers on websites like Goibibo, Yatra, or EaseMyTrip?
Please spill all the secrets you have for flight ticket booking. If you can't share them publicly, feel free to DM me🤪.

@Friedrice if u r going internationally, try to book flights with layover, they are cheap plus u can enjoy another destination on the same route...ek ke sath 2 countries ke maze...
Gotcha... Layover me airport se nikal sakte h kya?
Does it includes Seat Confirmation charge because now days we have to pay extra for Seat Confirmation too ? I faced this situation in FK flights ticket booking
I think we can skip that part, go to the airport, and either select a seat ourselves at the kiosk or request one from the airline staff based on availability.
Two points
1. If you are unsure of the destination, Google flights map view is your friend. Select your departure City to a certain continent and then zoom in on map and keep searching for good deals. Do the same with departure as Mumbai, Delhi and other major cities.
2. If you are already aware of destination then do an inverse search. From the destination to India to find the best deal. Then do the actual search - Indian city to destination city.
Post that, if your dates are flexible then do check the price graph to check if small alternation in dates can get you a better deal or not.
Thanks for offering such helpful suggestions.
Try researching for flights on incognito mode
Rate Gain ceo was laughing when Moneycontrol awaaz interviewer questioning abt incognito search. Only ur history is not stored in ur device, search algorithm is always monitor at service provider end.

You can check on IRCTC also. They show the fares low to high of all airlines.
While I have mostly received answers to all my questions, no one has answered anything regarding question 4. Please respond if you have experience with it.
Not tried all, but it did with whichever I've tried
Any single website to get to know what all offers are running on various card/codes and websites? It's tough check each website with code or card which is better.
The best way is to find someone who has the mmtc corporate portal or any other companies corporate portal, back in August my flight got delayed and then cancelled so I had to book another one for the day so I booked it through one of the corporate portal and I booked it 200-300 rupees cheaper than the one I had booked two months back
Lookout for stopover programs as well.
Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Riyadh and many more countries provide free city tours, free transit visa and some do provide stay if you are planning for a longer stopover program (applicable if flying with their national carrier)
