Don’t go for elss now, have got flat returns in 3 years. Invest in ppf 1.5 lac and 50k in NPS to save tax upto 2L
Invest in other non elss hybrid funds that give 10-12% returns for building corpus
Keep mix of fd, gold, mf
Buy multiple penny stocks with good fundamentals and low debt, ek bhi chal gaya toh chandi hai
Pm me for more info can suggest you funds i invest

Also never go for any investment plan which is linked with insurance like ulip and various lic plans thier IRR comes down to 5%
If you want life insurance and mediclaim buy that separately

I have been investing in ELSS till now , full 1.5 L , As PPF has lock period of 15 years ,some discourage this option .

Stick to PPF.. also, add Variable PF (as much as you can contribute from your salary in addition to existing deduction) to your EPF deduction at work.

NPS or National Pension System is a voluntary retirement scheme through which you can create a substantial retirement corpus. You can read more in detail why it is a great product from here https://www.quora.com/Is-it-worthwhile-to-inves...

If you are willing to take some risk, NPS. If you are not willing to take any risk, PPF.
