Till now I have done transaction of Rs.12K. I need to complete another 18K to avoid annual fees.
The problem is the card is not that rewarding in most of the places I shop.
Any tricks would be appreciated.

Try Paytm add money via Zomato every month 2k2k total 4k.
If your card is rewards card, then shopping at department/fashion show earn -3+% rewards.
Last months there was offers running on ajio, you could have bought gold and sold it to local shop(earn profit as well)
If not able to complete the spend, use Paytm add money they run 1.5% cashback offer, you would be charged around 2.3%, but to avoid AMC you can do this.
Also while paying credit card bill try using cashback way like HDFC bill pay or mobid**k, to minimize loss or earn small profit

i called citi customer support and they told me the card was issues as free for me, so no charge, no 30k spend needed
