Use CPU-Z software to find out the clock speed and generation of RAM. After that, you can buy RAM of the same configuration no matter which brand you choose.

I had opened the cpu, there are couple of empty RAM slots but i think there must be a limit of max memory that we can expand, right?

Here the max bus speed is 1066 MHz with a LGA775 socket MB, that can accomodate

Here the max bus speed is 1066 MHz with a LGA775 socket MB, that can accomodate DDR2 ram only (which operates below 1066) and that calculates the total computing power.
The existing stick, is it proper?
Also not able to find dd2 RAM with 1066mhz
Tjs15 wrote:No, this seems to be DDR3 one of 2GB and from 1333 MHz family.

PS: You have to go for low capacity DDR3 as it can't accommodate the higher ones. Sorry for the confusion, now I have stood corrected my previous reply.
