How to find out Loans or any kind of similar credits (like chit funds or any) taken on a persons name without their knowing/permission/consent?

trying to find out out how much fraud has been done.

is cibil the best to get all details? i mean even details regarding loans / chit funds and all.?

in icici internet banking we now have the option to view cibil report. is it already generated or it generates when one asks for it? if one downloads that report it wont affect his/her cibil score right? just confirming.

pls let me know.

Cibil does show all past loan details as to amount borrowed, outstanding, overdue etc. Dont know if there’s any other way!
I believe when lenders frequently view our cibil report, only then our score may get affected!

Cibil is one of the 4 credit bureaus working in India. If you are serious about maintaining a healthy credit history then you should signup on all bureaus and monitor your credit history. Cibil is the oldest one and widely accepted.
If any loan has been taken in your name from a recognized loan agency then they must report about it to all credit bureaus.

If you want to keep track of your Cibil credit report then don’t signup from ICICI bank. But signup directly on Cibil website. Downloading report will not effect your credit score/history.

ICICI doesn’t has your Cibil credit report already. When you signup for this service in ICICI, they will charge you for it and request your credit report from Cibil. They will also use it for their own benefit.

THere are at multiple credit score rating agencies like Cibil, Experian, Crif, Equifax, Highmark,… All use same base data reported by various banks/FIs. SO to the extent reporting of data is accurate and complete to that agency, you can get such information from their report. Cibil has apparently better awareness or reputation currently.

Cibil – on their site or in icici net banking – provides report, but it is chargeable. Once a year they were giving it for free on their site when I checked last. Experian report one can get for free, courtesy sites/apps like bank bazaar, paisabazaar, CRED, …

Score calculation parameters and principles are explained in the report. It clarifies that when there is a credit related inquiry done by a bank (say for issuing credit card), only then there may be some (monor i believe) impact per inquiry… Info seeking queries have no impact, which is only logical.

So yes, as these agencies by rbi regulation get all the bank credit related authentic data reported to them periodically for long periods, it is probably the most easily available, almost free and authentic data available at one consolidated place.

Basic info afaik shared…Baaki experts tagged can add!! smile

CIBIL is fairly most common and accepted measure

It has all credit related details

ICICI one is paid one
Same is available in SBI also

Paisabazaar gives free report
They give Experian report also

Checking score never impact score
Indeed CIBIL have annual plan where one can check daily

Like i said, 1 year back when I registered, it was free for something like one report per year!! Most likely status should be same still, but cannot say for sure…

Try paisa bazaar, CRED app if you quickly need to access similar information w/o paying… confused

Cibil is a credit rating agency and hence all the credits (not chit fund) taken by you from recognised lenders will be shown in your cibil report.
Once you open your cibil report u can see all the loans taken by you (even closed) and thus u can check it yourself if a loan appears and you didn’t take it!
Personally speaking, it would be very difficult to take loan on another’s name as banks have to update kyc, and even if banks/nbfc don’t do the same, security would be registered in the borrower’s name and there will be name mismatch.
Hence, unless bank employees and borrower collide to do such thing, it would be very diff to do the same.

I am getting my score everywhere (paisabazaar, bankbazaar, cred, creditmantri etc) and it’s around 800. Using credit cards since 18 months. But the official CIBIL dot com site shows me that I don’t have any credit history. Now I have applied for Home loan. Will they offer me at competitive rates or higher rate just because CIBIL is not showing any score?? Awake</a> "Roushh":https://www.desidime.com/users/103299...sp; @rajrocks

not everything at I.T. (information technology) or ITD (income tax department) is really properly traceable via PA Number.
thus it is nearly impossible.
you said you changed the title, but it sounds even more suspicious (like you ate sitting for interview in bank, Nbfc).
if the person is victim of identify theft, fraud or forgery….. ….. then why wish to know ‘without knowledge of person’. they your known person only so all okay.

loan against FD in corporate or banks are a common way that small builders do farziwada.
they show you book property in your name and get assured FD (from their specified bank and branch).
banks collude and give money to builders by creating lien on FD (builder never lets you keep original receipt).
.
same way coop bank or chit fund data may not always reflect I’m this cibil vibil.
so unless you’ve access to ITD master data or some idea of which bank, nbfc to dig into, no way to know every transaction.
