How to get HDFC credit card

Dear all, I have been rejected for an HDFC credit card in the month of June 2019. According to customer care, due to bank internal policy i got rejected. Now I wonder why I got rejected as I hold credit card of several banks i.e SBI, Axis, HSBC, ICICI, Standard Chartered, Kotak. I have decent CIBIL score 830 around.

Now can anyone guide me how to get HDFC credit card without any rejection.

you have to many cc
you may have missed payments
you may have large number of EMI on cc
you may have made minimum payments on many time
you may have loan a/c outstanding
your loan/cc balance could have reached a high percentage of your disposable income

Did you default any payment anytime? Or Anytime you rejected any loans? Also check your crif and Experian score

Easiest option now would be to open a new Savings A/C with them and let them offer it for free through Netbanking.

1st point might be the reason for rejection, but other than that I have always made sure that i make payments by due date. never opted for emi mode, never took any loan. I told you that i have decent cibil score around 830

I re-applied for an HDFC credit card, fortunately this time my application got approved. I got a message that my application for HDFC credit card has been approved in principle subject to internal checks.
