how to know if vi number is non active permanently or not
at home there is a vi number.no one recharged it as it was not used for anything.now as expected total signal are gone and if we call that number the call does not go through no ivr nothing.its last recharge was over 2-3 months back.is there any way to know if it will become active or not if it is recharged with a plan?

On Twitter or customer care ask them to check that number is showing in their system or not
Just enter the no. in Vi app or website in recharge page. If the no. is active, it will move to the next page to complete the recharge process. Or it will show this no not belongs to Vi.

I think ur sim got damaged.
if u recharge, the recharge will be successful and benefits credited but u cannot use.
Check with the nearest Vi retailer and get a working sim for same no.

sim is okay paji, if i mail them from any mail id to know about sim status then will they answer as no mail id is registered with this sim

First try with 49 rs recharge (10 days validity)
If all goes well, u can recharge with 99 from next recharges, for only incoming calls.

Off-topic: Like JioPOS Lite and Airtel Super Hero, does VI too have any such process where we can get some percent off for recharging other VI nos.? I read somewhere it’s 6%. Can someone tell me how? Also, can we make the payment with Amazon Pay Balance too from My VI App?

49 available to some users only (check offers by entering ur phone no in app/website)
