Here is how I am doing this. You guys can also follow this.

My retailer friend has created an ID and password for me. Using these details I can port my SIMs using JioPosPlus/Airtel Mitra apps installed in my phone.

On porting, I get 1.5gb per day unlimited pack at approx. Rs. 60.

Whenever I need more data, I can activate new SIM with 1.5gb per day unlimited pack at approx. Rs. 110

Plus Points :

1. No need to give documents to any retailer, so no risk of document misuse.

2. No need to go outside. Whole process can be done sitting at home. Takes approx 15-20 minutes.

3. Some bucks can be earned by doing mnp/new activation for others.

4. Economical/ less expense

I am not doing this like a proper retailer, like earning money etc.

I have taken this id 10-11 months back as I don’t want to go to shops outside for mnp/port & new sim and also want to reduce recharge expenses.

I am using my id only for activating SIMs for myself, my friends and family.

So, usually 1 or 2 or 3 SIMs per month.

Yes, its free.
To register as a retailer, you need to contact your nearest distributor with POI, POA and shop location details. Distributor submits these details on their on boarding platform and then you can log in to their retailer app with your number as username and password/pin received in sms.

However, one more simple way is to register as an agent with an existing retailer. You only need your aadhar card and mobile number for this. You can issue SIM cards and do recharges same as retailer.
Even I can help you in registering as an agent with my friend's retailer id. No charges.

There is nothing extraordinary in this !
Anyone who wants to sell SIM cards and recharges can register as a retailer by submitting POI, POA and shop location details to his/her nearest distributor.

And then retailer can add anyone as an agent by filling his/her details in "add agent" section of the retailer app. Name, dob, mobile, aadhar details are mandatory as per DoT and TRAI directions to stop people from issuing SIM cards using wrong details/docs.
After submitting these details Jio sends agent id and password to the agent number and Airtel send a confirmation sms with pin (in Airtel mobile number is your id/username).

Then download the retailer app from Google playstore and login with details received in sms. After login, do one time verification in app by uploading your POI/POA pic and your face pic and mobile number verification by entering otp received on your number.

Now, you can use the retailer app to issue SIM cards and/or recharges.

For SIM cards, you need to buy blank SIM cards from any telecom shop (Airtel at Rs. 5 per sim, Jio Rs. 10 per sim, Bsnl Rs. 20 per sim). *I can help you in locating your nearest shop from where you may get these sims
