Here is how I am doing this. You guys can also follow this.

My retailer friend has created an ID and password for me. Using these details I can port my SIMs using JioPosPlus/Airtel Mitra apps installed in my phone.

On porting, I get 1.5gb per day unlimited pack at approx. Rs. 60.

Whenever I need more data, I can activate new SIM with 1.5gb per day unlimited pack at approx. Rs. 110

Plus Points :

1. No need to give documents to any retailer, so no risk of document misuse.

2. No need to go outside. Whole process can be done sitting at home. Takes approx 15-20 minutes.

3. Some bucks can be earned by doing mnp/new activation for others.

4. Economical/ less expense

bro flushed flushed i am sorry but i think you should try focusing on earning money rather than saving money from these petty tricks flushed this is literally petty from any point i look towards it.
In longer term earning money makes your life better and saving (with ways like this) is just miserable.

bro, how many dollars you EARNED by posting these 54 words / 302 characters here ?

Nothing na !

Its not like you need to sale something like rehadiwalas !

People spend hours here on DD to save few hundred bucks. Thats not a bad thing. Everyone has a perspective and requirements.

Many people here on DD blame retailers that why are they charging 100/200/300 for unlimited pack of Rs. 239 + Rs. 99 prime.

When I am telling them a way to do this on their own at only Rs. 60/ Rs. 110 then people like you are coming with different IFs and BUTs !

Tell me one thing, how much time it takes when you go to any retailer for mnp/port or new sim ?(whole process, starting from your home to when you get back to your home)

atleast 1 hour ?

And if all this can be completed like within 20 minutes without leaving home then how is it bad ? or PETTY ?

Its not like creating gmail IDs. You are going to get authority to issue new SIM. So, Jio number and Aadhaar required as per TRAI and DoT directions.

I am not doing this like a proper retailer, like earning money etc.

I have taken this id 10-11 months back as I don’t want to go to shops outside for mnp/port & new sim and also want to reduce recharge expenses.

I am using my id only for activating SIMs for myself, my friends and family.

So, usually 1 or 2 or 3 SIMs per month.

Need based.

Like sometimes when VI retailers giving free 28day pack on new SIM (everything at zero cost) or charging 20₹ to 50₹ for it.

Stocking a few to port out later or to pass them on to some staff or visiting (international) guests.

https://cdn0.desidime.com/attachments/photos/763285/original/Screenshot_20220429-120835_GBWhatsApp.jpg

Till before the tariff revisions in the fourth quarter of 2021..

it was a bit more economical.. as the porting game ..gave 56days pack free ob most operators for MNP.

For now, this retailer offers the 28days pack free for MNP and takes ₹180-₹200 for the 56dsys pack while porting IN to the big three I think (I never use Jio so IDK of theirs for sure).

Since some professional, social and other activities necessitate isolating numbers within a certain type of acquaintances.

Hence sonetimes I alone have four active numbers with me

And then if throwaway or secondary travel SIM is needed (for me or for international or other visitors)

Then doing some recharge on earlier dormant/ dead SIMs and porting out is still economical and less hassle.

The retailers who do get the right offers and pass them on to us

even give the port IN offer of ₹100 for the (otherwise ₹249) 45days pack of BSNL.

Of-course if one has a thousand other things to keep busy with in life..

… such things might seem ‘chindigiri’ and avoidable.

I have not read through the posts or have the complete context..

but retailers order the 'mwant for dealers' SIMs via tge regular (door to door) salesperson of the TelCo.

and

the SIMs often cost the retsiler ₹5/per piece.

(If this person is pals with the retailer, then might be picking the blank SIMs from the retailer friend himself).

No. You have to buy blank SIM from nearest distributor or any telecom related shop.
Usually they 'll charge as :
1 blank SIM = Rs. 10
Pack of 10 SIMs = Rs. 100 (some distributors give this pack free)

And then using by logging into Jio retailer app, you need to complete SIM activation process. It normally takes 10-15 minutes. It includes selecting plan/frc, clicking pic of ID, clicking pic of user/customer, payment of plan/frc from retailer wallet.

How to became airtel retailer? Is this free? Currently I need to port my sim to airtel postpaid but none of the airtel stores offer me postpaid sim. So how to get Airtel Mitra ID so I can port my sim to airtel myself?

is it chargeable?  .i.e to become the retailer?

for jio or airtel. Also is there any in person verification?

spending 60 for data and free call(as mentioned in your post) for 1 month is far better than spending 99 just for validity 🤯

Yes, its free.
To register as a retailer, you need to contact your nearest distributor with POI, POA and shop location details. Distributor submits these details on their on boarding platform and then you can log in to their retailer app with your number as username and password/pin received in sms.

However, one more simple way is to register as an agent with an existing retailer. You only need your aadhar card and mobile number for this. You can issue SIM cards and do recharges same as retailer.
Even I can help you in registering as an agent with my friend's retailer id. No charges.
