They have an option to choose senior citizen at the booking page and they say that 50% off will be provided on base fare but I have gone till the payment page and never got the discount. Has anyone tried? Is it a fake offer?

The senior citizen discount is only on selected fare codes, which after discount is still expensive than the normal cheapest fare. Hence, there’s no benefit.
IF no seats are available under this fare then you get this message when you get details of flight. How much is the basic fare? If basic fare is not much then book via other offers
you need to book directly from their website
in the booking page, just below journey date, in small print it is written “Would you like to book as a concessionary Passenger?” and there are two radio buttons yes and no. click on “yes” then from the drop down list select “senior citizen passenger”
however, the concession is only on full fare tickets. so most cases, normal fare is less than the discounted full fare.
further, only limited seats are available per flight so most cases, it would show “sold out”
agree.
also, there is some or the other snag on the site that could be the reason.
to add insult to injury, the standard response of 02026231407 +912026231407 is: visit our city office and book from there.
I think you need senior citizen card for it and book via their counter
