Hi Everyone, I am 30+, recently gone thru a routine blood test by thyrocare (pharmseasy). Which I am worried about these findings:

also,

25-OH VITAMIN D (TOTAL) — 27.71 ng/ml (below 30 is insufficiency)

VITAMIN B-12 - 221 pg/ml (Ref Range: Normal : 211 – 911 pg/ml)

TESTOSTERONE - 338.61 ng/dL

I am worried about CREATININE SERUM, EGFR as this is related to KIDNEY. Today I talked to an online doctor, and also a local physician, and both said, there is nothing to worry about. Only suggested me to improve Vit-D, B12. But I don’t have trust in them regarding KIDNEY. If someone is going thru kidney disease, kindly clear my doubt why my findings of C-SERUM, eGFR is out of ref range. 😥 I am not having any symptom related to kidney disease

I am already taking MultiVitamins supradyne, Man matters 360 tablets, CF Omega3 1000mg fish oil, Turmeric Curcumin 95% with Piperine Capsule by 1mg-com, sometimes whey protein, mixed fruit juice with amla, Homemade chicken tikka 5 times a day. I do not smoke, no alcohol, jogging/walking 3-4 times a week for 30-40min. Winter is going on, so my water drinking capacity has been reduced to 1-1.2 litre a day.

So how could I improve my C-serum, eGfr findings?

Is my kidney damaged?

Repeat the test after one week from a different lab, preferably some big lab like Lal path. If the results are the same, get a Nephrologist opinion. These changes are very mild to borderline, so I don’t think there’s anything much to worry about. But if you are worried about it, a visit to the Nephrologist wouldn’t hurt. High protein intake can cause mild increase in creatinine levels, so can water intake.

your water intake should be around 2.5-3.5 litres a day with that diet.

Contact nephrologist (physical appointment) and get re-tested again!

While 1.15 creatinine is no where serious, it could be sign of some underlying issue (beginning stage) or a temp spike due to supplement intake. For majority of people (unless 50/60+) the creatinine levels won’t be 1+ (w/ both kidneys at working condition). Pretty normal though for those with just 1 native or transplanted kidney (very good level actually)

So, contact doctor and obviously he will do some additional tests ( Most probably USG Abdomen)

& ignore the rest (B12, Vit D)

My father who is 63 also diagnosed with high creatine level since last year.
In april 2021 he visited a doctor casually for body chechup in apollo hospital after initial tests general physician referred him to a nephrologist who suggested for a KUB and some other blood tests after reports came he told that his creatinine level are at borderline 1.3 at that time after which he prescribed some medicine and a visit every 6 months with latest test reports currently his creatinine increased to 1.4
