Unless you can deal with high returns and damaged products, I would recommend staying away. These platforms charge way too much commission and if your margin isn’t high, you would incur losses due to customers abusing return policy.
How to Register as a seller on Flipkart or Amazon ?

I want to register on Flipkart and Amazon as a seller. I don't have a GST number as yet. I am looking to try my luck starting with only 2-3 categories of products.
I noticed that GSTIN is mandatory to register as a seller. Would it be worth to get a GST number and try my luck?
I have no prior experience of selling goods online/offline.
Thanks

I will be listing cosmetic products like fash wash etc. They don't have return policy. Would that work?

Then it should be fine imo. Just have proofs that you are sending undamaged products so that incase of disputes, you would have proof.

I mean how much amount will be deducted by Flipkart including GST and Platform fee?
individual sellers cannot survive on fk /amazon
most of the top seller you see are their indirect entities
if u plan to sell expect giving 20-30% as commission to them
