How to sell products online?

Dear All,

As the title says, I want to sell various masala/papad like stuffs online. Till now, used to sell it offline to the local neighbors and people known in the family. But, now I want to take the same business online. I found that I can sell it through Magicpin, Meesho type of apps without requirement of GST number but then the customer base there is very limited (considering the town I live in).

If I decide to sell on Amazon / Flipkart they require GST number for the same. Is it possible to GST number for such product selling business? If possible, please share the shortest way to get it.

P. S :- Was thinking of approaching Grofers / Big Basket but didn’t found much information regards to this on their website. If someone has any information regards to this please share, offline selling isn’t yielding considerable profits these days pensive

I think GST number is required to be an online seller. You can generate your own gst number provided you can fill the correct details yourself.
Please think of a brand name/logo etc. before going the online route.

For selling on amazon you can visit amazon seller website and they have instant gst registration online system and then you can sell on amazon

Sorry for the late reply bro. Yeah, we tried through for GST through Amazon but couldn’t get through. Have discussed regards to the name & logo will finalize it soon before getting PAN Card. Quite noob with the online selling, please do share more information regards to the online selling If you know. Thank you bro 😊

Sorry for the late reply bro. Yeah, we tried through Amazon’s portal but it asking for the company’s PAN Card. We haven’t made any since we were selling offline/locally. It seem like we need get a PAN Card too before getting GST.

Get a PAN. Then generate gst number on gst.gov.in Think of a brand name and logo and then conquer the world. Good luck bro. It’s gonna be a ride. How old are you?
